Referral partner offices were encouraged to form teams and participate in the round-robin style tournament. This annual event took place at Parkview Field, home of the Fort Wayne TinCaps, of which Ruoff is a proud partner. “What better way to support an amazing organization, Erin’s House for Grieving Children, than by inviting adults to play a kids game?" said Joel Scheer, Branch Manager for Ruoff Mortgage in Fort Wayne. "It is an honor to host a fundraising event that brings us and our referral partners together to support each other and the important work being done for our younger generation at Erin’s House.” Attendees and teams were encouraged to donate items from the organization’s ‘Wish List’ filled with items that are used in weekly sessions and upcoming camps. In addition, monetary donations were also accepted and event raised close to $2,500 for Erin’s House. “At Erin's House, we know that healing takes a village, and we are incredibly thankful to Ruoff for their dedication to helping our community. The funds raised during the kickball event will directly support our free programs, providing much-needed resources to families working through their grief,” said Debbie Meyer, Executive Director of Erin’s House. "There's something truly special about a community that comes together for a cause—and Ruoff has shown us just how powerful that support can be. Every dollar helps keep our programs free, and every bit of support makes a lasting difference in the lives of our youth who are grieving,” Anna Freels, Marketing Specialist at Erin’s House shared. "The kickball event not only raised funds for our cause, but it raised awareness, so more families know that Erin's House will be there when they need grief support. We had a blast playing as the 'Boujee Butterflies' and representing Erin's House on the field!"
