FORT WAYNE, IN (March 30, 2020) – Ruoff Mortgage Company celebrated their 1000th employee today with festivities in their corporate, affiliate and branch offices.
A loan officer assistant in Ruoff Mortgage’s renovation department holds the honor of reaching the company’s current 1000th employee mark and was surprised today with a fete of balloons, snacks and accolades at the corporate office.
President & CEO, Mark K. Music, acknowledged the milestone in a congratulatory video message to employees, “When I arrived at Ruoff back in the summer of 2007, we had a total of 18 employees. Now in a few months shy of my 14 years, we recently hired our 1000th employee.” He cited there are 17.6 million businesses in the U.S. but only 23,000 that have team members exceeding 1,000.
Last year, Ruoff added 215 employees to the team, in response to the company’s explosive revenue growth, and recently announced they plan to hire an additional 700 by 2022, focusing on operational system jobs such as processing, underwriting and closing. Ruoff Mortgage has been exponentially evolving into a lending powerhouse over the past several years and has appeared on the Inc. 5000 Fastest Growing Companies in America list for a nearly unprecedented eight consecutive years. The company generated $356 million in revenue in 2020, which was up $215 million year over year, and saw loan volume double as they assisted more than 30,000 individuals and families achieve their homeownership goals.
